I like to call these landing pages "micro sites" since they do have more than one page with lots of information. Liberty University has a beautiful campus so i wanted to incorporate that into the design.

Strategic practices are a huge component in these "micro site landing pages. I find the tests and results very compelling as it helps me design with the user in mind.

Hike Buddy is a mobile app for the adventurous. The idea sparked because I love to go on hikes, but am not always aware where to go, or what I am looking at during! This app lists all the parks/trails/lakes, etc. around you or from a specified location. It has the ability to filter by walking trail, bike trail, pet restrictions, equine trail, swimming, fishing, camping, and more. [1 of 2]

Banner Ads

Example banner ads. These are suprisingly one of my favorite things to do: a little bit can pack a punch! There are so many terrible ads out there, the least I can do is make them pleasing.

AIGA Get Out the Vote Poster

The “Get Out the Vote” campaign invited AIGA members to create nonpartisan posters and videos that inspire the American public to participate in the electoral process and vote in the 2012 general election. AIGA hosted an exhibition in New York City, October 3–November 30, 2012, featuring the 2012 Get Out the Vote project, at the AIGA National Design Center.

This was one of my favorite projects to work on. Three other designers and I collaborated to concept, design, and produce a publication from start to finish.

The name beta arose from beta testing: where something is slightly unfinished and has minor kinks left to be straightened out. Our goal was to fill the gap in the "alternative" and "edgy" niche market.

We went with a square layout among other things, such as leaving the name uncapitalized, to ya know, be different from the mainstream…so hipster.

The Live department is a reoccurring DIY section found in the magazine. It can be expanded to other categories such as "Live: In The Garden," or "Live: In Your Closet." Vegan marshmallows are definitely a thing. Everyone deserves a good smore, amiright?
